DMCA / Copyright Policy

DiscussionSpot respects intellectual property rights. This page describes how copyright owners can request removal of allegedly infringing user-generated content, and how posters may submit a counter-notice.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on DiscussionSpot infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at legal@discussionspot.com (or via the Contact form with subject “DMCA Notice”) that includes:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URL of the post, comment, story, or page).
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

2. What We Do

Upon receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it. We may terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

3. Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to legal@discussionspot.com including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Pakistan (or as otherwise required by applicable law), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

4. User Responsibility

By posting content, you represent that you own the rights or have permission to share it. Uploading or linking to infringing material violates our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
